No, it’s definitely not what I would have liked to do as a grown-up.
I was born into a family of floricolturers. I already had a guaranteed job in what, later on, would have become one of the biggest companies in the horticultural sector of the European panorama.
I grew up and decided to study accounting. I’m creative, the idea of being able to create beauty with my own hands fascinated me and I attended professional courses in Hair Styling and Make-up Art, too.
I graduated and a few years later the Santacroce S.r.l was born, instituted to offer more specific services to clients of that which is now Florencia Trade.

1996. I turned twenty-seven years old and gained a small role in the new family business.
I finally started to work with something I really like: I select Fashion Collections of furnishing accessories for window dressing and the uprising sector of wedding planning in the Trade fairs of Milan, Paris and Frankfurt.
In 2001 I became Marketing Director: from that moment on I planned promotional meetings and workshops on packaging and floral design which I also attended as a student, shamelessly taking advantage of my position.
I acquired and refined techniques that have been familiar to me since childhood and, finding my passion in it, I did anything to organize some more on every occasion, while building strong friendships with some of the floral art and packaging teachers.
Projected to be of help in those companies where I grew up, I obtained my Degree in Agricultural Sciences, but I didn’t neglect my deeper aspirations. I opened a small Atelier and started to manage Nereo, a lovely restaurant by the sea, where I unleashed my creative inspiration. And only in those moments of absolute happiness did I realize how much I had learned and how much had been generously taught me in the time that was now behind me.
It was a slow and reasoned metamorphosis.
There are no human stories, successful or not, that don’t know emphasis or moderation, a nuanced change or the complete upheaval of one own’s expectations. It’s been a becoming marked by more or less successful attempts to express at best what I am, unconsciously questioning every day the yesterday-version of myself and the ten-years-ago-version of myself.
And you understand that you can’t call yourself a “Maestro” in something if you don't dedicate yourself soul and body to that “something”, that you can’t direct an orchestra without knowing the difficulties of playing every single instrument and that a well-executed performance is harmonized, yes, by a good director but it’s played by great artists.
